July 2, 2009
- Well our baby is 2, but she won't be the baby for
long... Cassidy had a good birthday, and was very excited about
her cake. She even blew out her candle. Her words are
progressing along nicely. She is starting to talk in sentences,
but some of the words are still unintelligible. She will repeat
things we say now, so she says new words every day.
She can sing her ABC's, but some of the letters are still
fuzzy. She loves Sesame Street, especially Elmo, and has started to
learn to work our Sesame puzzles that the other girls liked. We
look forward to her next year, and hope she can grow out of her
attitude, although we may have more to come with the terrible
twos!

June 7, 2009 - Cassidy
has been trying to dress herself lately, and today
succeeded in getting her pajamas on all by herself. They
weren't perfect, but she was very pleased with
herself.

June 5th, 2009 - All Cassidy's eye teeth
have poked through, so now all she has left to go are her two year molars,
which don't seem close yet.

April 22, 2009 - We
are diaper free again (at least until July)!! Cassidy decided
she wanted to sleep in the bottom bunk with Camryn, and shortly after
stopped wetting her pullup at night, so she has switched to panties
at
night.

January 11, 2009
- Now the bottom molars are through as well.
Time to do some heavy duty
chewing.

January 3, 2009
- Cassidy's top molars have broken through, for teeth 8
and 9.

November 28, 2008 - We
decided to potty train Cassidy very early on, starting at less than a
year. It was met with limited success, and was definitely just
watching her and taking her when we thought she needed to go.
She slowly got better at holding it, but we weren't brave enough
to switch to panties until now. She has had very few accidents
in the pullups lately, so we took the plunge. This is right
around the same age the other two girls were trained as well. Guess
that means we are ok to have another baby since we don't have one in
diapers, right?
:)

November 12, 2008 - And
the last of the set of 8 teeth has come
in!
Posted by: Brad |
November 8, 2008 - Tooth
numbers 5 and 6 came in a while back, and now she is working on another
pair. #7 poked through
today

November 1, 2008 - We have
noticed that Cassidy is becoming aware of her body parts, and can point
out where her nose and teeth
are.

August 28, 2008
- Just an update on Cassidy's words, since all I have
listed is Dada. She can say Dada, Mama, uh oh, up, down, o
dot (what she calls OJ). Poor Kato always seems to be
later than OJ for some
reason.

August 9, 2008 - Well now
she is walking all over the place, so she is officially a walker, and we
moved her up in church from the crawlers to the walkers. That is
what makes it official
right?

|
July 7, 2008 - Cassidy
executed a move today that doesn't usually
come before walking. She got up to standing
from crawling, but still just doesn't want to walk...

|
July 2, 2008 - Cassidy's
birthday, and exciting news too! She took her first step
today! Not really a walker yet, but she will be
there soon.

|
March 28, 2008 - Cassie
manuevered her way into a sitting position all by herslf, so now she can
get comfortable after a long crawl. BTW, her 4th tooth came in
shortly after the 3rd, but didn't mark the day.

February 23, 2008 - Two items
today... Cassidy's 3rd tooth poked through, and she pulled herself up to
standing. Will still be a long time til she walks
though!

February 9, 2008 - If the old
wives tale is true, then we will have a boy if we decide to have a
boy next time around. Cassidy's first word is dada, although she
isn't really saying it toward me.

January 13, 2008
- Tooth #2 is broken through, so that completes the top for
now. Now to work on the bottom...

January 11, 2008 - She's not
crawling yet, but she is pulling herself around the room, so we'll
call it creeping! We got it on video, and she is very
cute!

January 3, 2008 - Cassidy got her first tooth
today! More to come soon!

October 15, 2007 - We found out by accident today that
Cassidy can prop herself up while sitting. I had been sitting her up, just
playing around, and when I let go she had her hands down and didn't fall over.
We did it a few more times before it looked like she was going to byork on
herself. Hooray for Cassie!

October 4, 2007 - Jessica was doing some chores around the
house today, and had left Cassidy playing on the floor. She was chilling
on her back, but when Jessica came back Cassidy had rolled over on to her belly!
Jessica managed to capture it a couple more times on video by getting her to
reach for the mirror. I guess now we have to be even more careful not to
leave her laying on beds and changing tables by herself!

September 14, 2007 - When I got home from work today I was
playing with Cassie and she started to laugh when I bounced her around. It
was so cute, and we got a video to prove it! Grandma Russell says that she
laughed for her yesterday, so I guess that was her first official laugh.
It should be a lot of fun when she starts laughing more regularly.

September 7, 2007 - Cassidy had her 2 month Dr's
appointment today, and she is doing very well! She has continued to gain
weight, and is up to 22.25 inches and 10 lbs 14oz, which is the 50th percentile
for each. She got immunizations in her legs, and she did pretty well.
She only cried for a few seconds until Jessica comforted her, and then she was
fine.

August 2, 2007 - Cassidy turned one month old today, and
its hard to believe that much time has passed. We also obtained the 911
tape (in .wav format of course, this is 2007 after all) of Cassie's birth, which
we will get posted on here soon. Even though she didn't have a Dr's
appointment today, as promised we weighed and measured her. She tipped the
scales at 8 lbs 12 oz, and was 21 inches long. She's obviously been eating
well, and maybe one day she can catch up to the pace of her big sisters.
She is smiling more often at us and is holding her head up a little bit.
Also she is awake and content for longer periods of time now, and spends her
awake time watching everyone.

July 29, 2007 - Cassidy had her first real bath tonight!
She seemed to enjoy it, as long as Brad kept the warm water on her...
We'll have the pictures posted with the next update which will hopefully be
soon! Be on the lookout for a weight and height update at the end of the
week. Cassidy will be one month old on Thursday!! :-O

July 26, 2007 - We've seen a few half-smiles over the past
couple of days, but today Cassie smiled at Jessica and me. It was very
deliberate and she even made a cute baby "coo". She hasn't smiled again
since, so no pictures yet!

July 25, 2007 - Cassie's umbilical stump was hanging on by
a thread, and today during her "bath" it fell off into her diaper. We're
glad to be rid of the stinky little button.

July 16, 2007 - Baby Cassidy is 2 weeks old today!
Our new pediatrician has a different schedule for when newborns are seen than
the ped in Garner. Instead of a 1 month check-up, they like to see babies
at 2 weeks to check their weight, height, etc. Dr. Johnson thought that
Cassidy looked great! Her weight was up to 7 pounds 7 ounces and she was
19.75 inches long, so she is growing like a weed. Must be the seal milk!

July 6, 2007 - Cassidy had her first well-baby checkup
today. She has regained the 5 ounces she lost, bringing her back up to her
birth weight of 6lbs. 13oz. Dr. Bowman said she looked great, and she
didn't need any shots today. That made everyone happy, including Caitlin
who came along to watch after her little sis.

July 4, 2007 - Welcome home Cassidy and Happy Birthday
America! :) We had a great 4th of July as a new family of 5! We grilled chicken
for dinner and let
Caitlin and Camryn throw Snap 'N Pops then Caitlin got to hold a few sparklers!
Cassidy has been a great sleeper so far and snoozed through it all. :)

July 2, 2007 - Cassidy Arin Wright was
born today at 5:48 pm in the "comfort" of her own home!!
When I woke up this morning I was feeling crampy and started having a few
irregular contractions. I had my 39/40 week pre-natal visit at 11:30, where I
was 3 cm dilated, very similar to my appointment last week. I was kind of bummed
because there hadn't been a whole lot of progress and I was sure that I wouldn't
get to meet my baby that day. ;) Once I got home the contractions continued but
they were still very bearable and didn't happen in any pattern. Around 2 pm I
decided to start timing them, they were 10 minutes apart. At 4:30 I asked Brad
to head home from work to help with the girls and to get things ready to go to
the hospital. My contractions were still about 7ish minutes apart at this point,
so I thought we had plenty of time left. Once Brad got to the house I tried to
relax in a warm bath while he paged the OB and took the girls to the neighbor's
house. We had everything ready to leave for the hospital by 5:30, but then we
had a slight change of plans. I literally couldn't get downstairs to the car
because of the constant contractions. Brad tried paging the OB again, but got
frustrated with the receptionist, so he hung up that call and called 911 at 5:44
pm. The dispatcher tried to help guide us through the delivery but I certainly
wasn't paying attention to her and we were always one step ahead of what she was
saying anyway. ;) At 5:47 my water broke and almost immediately I knew it was
time to push the baby out! Our third little girl was born at 5:48 pm in our
master bathroom, Brad was the "attending physician" and caught her!! EMS arrived
at our house by 5:50 where they had Brad cut the umbilical cord with a scalpel.
In case you are wondering, he will tell you that a scalpel does the job much
better than the scissors they usually use at the hospital. ;) After the
paramedics checked us out, we took a trip to the hospital via ambulance. On a
side note, the midwife finally called us back at 5:55 pm. Brad and I thought we
had settled on a name for our little Cukaducka, as Caitlin referred to her, but
we were still undecided even after she was born. We decided that the name we
were going to give her was a little too plain for a girl that made such an entrance
into the world, her name needed to have a little spunk! She weighed 6 pounds 13
ounces and was 19 inches long, quite the peanut!
